Northumbria Police Rule
(UK) Whilst trying to contact the Northumbrian Police to get further information about my previous post Phatgnat came across another initiative worthy of a mention.
More than 1,700 13-17 year olds attended the sold-out launch of the Northumbria Police 'Wipeout' criminal damage campaign. The 'Sweet' club night was a partnerhip project between the Northumbrian Police and Metro FM.
Northumbria Chief Constable Mike Craik said: ' Criminal damage affects every single person in the force area and not just the victim. Living with graffiti and damaged property can raise the fear of crime in communities and have a huge impact on their well being. Criminal damage accounts for more than 40,000 crimes each year, costing more than £21m.'
Phatgnat has experience of working with the police on several projects and initiatives. They are eager to create partnerships and work within the communities on events and initiatives such as these—make contact with your local beat officer and see how you can help each other out!
