Parents Get Advice At The Supermarket
(UK) I remember a comedian saying '…supermarkets is where parents go to hit their kids…'—well the giant supermarket chain, Asda, is offering 600,000 free leaflets on parenting skills to their customers.
The 26 pamphlets, designed by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and several family charities, give advice to parents on helping their children with homework, how fathers can get more involved and information on health issues.
The free booklets, which were jointly produced by the DfES, Fathers Direct, Parentline Plus and the National Family and Parenting Institute, will be displayed in the foyer of 40 Asda stores.
