Women + CSR = Profit
I was interested to read in this article from Wired that 'companies with the most women in senior management had a 35 percent higher return on equity than those with the fewest. It also found those companies paid their shareholders 34 percent more than companies with the fewest women in top management.'
This coupled with the news from Business Ethics Online claiming in this article that they have 'absolute, definitive proof that responsible companies perform better financially' from the results of several surveys and research sources.
So, does this represent a shift in modern business ideolgies?
Employ more women.
Ensure your CSR is effective.
Make a profit!
