Teen Killers
(USA) Project Ignition gives teens an opportunity to educate their peers on safer driving techniques through media campaigns. High School Classes are invited to submit their ideas and each of the top 25 schools will be awarded a $2,000 grant to implement its project. Completed projects will be judged on four main criteria: impact, content, originality, and the quality of its service-learning practice.
The project is managed by National Youth Leadership Council and sponsored by State Farm(R)—the largest car insurers in North America.
Apart from the educational value of this initiative plus its potential 'life-saving' messages, it allows the organisations involved to increase their presence within their core market. And in the case of State Farm(R) (whose company tagline is 'Like a good neighbour, State Farm is there') draws them closer to their future long-term customers.
The value of the cause benefits all parties equalling a win-win-win outcome. Be interested to see the outcomes later in the year…
