The Phatgnat Fortnightly Challenge #8
'The Phatgnat Fortnightly Challenge' has been developed to demonstrate the services of Phatgnat and to illustrate how brands and companies can create high-profile youth projects which also satisfies public sectors aims and objectives.
Brand: London 2012 Olympics
Potential Partners: Street Dreams
Project: Create a 'Street Games' scheme/event targetting communities where there are conflicts between groups of young ethnic minorities across the UK. The scheme would provide an opportunity to connect young people from different cultures and background through sport, utilising the Olympic facilities.
Workshops and training sessions will be delivered on the chosen sports but also educational sessions will have to be attended as well. The successful teams will then be able to compete across several sports, all culminating in a Street Games event.
Benefits: Generating awareness and understanding between different ethnic groups. Conflict resolution in the communities. Taps into the current Olymnpic focus of the Games being for 'the youth, to inspire them'.
