CSR Goes Mainstream
(UK) According to a study by KPMG, '52% of the top 250 companies in the Fortune 500 list published separate reports on corporate social responsibility (CSR), up from 45% three years ago'.
What a staggering statistic.
Apart from specific UK/EU/industry leglislation, what other strategic movement has impacted so much on the business world than CSR?
Also, the recent results from UK Universum Graduate Survey outlines that recent graduates place more emphasis on contributing to society rather than status or money. Another illustration of the growing acceptence that careers for many people need to offer more to society.
In the same survey, 2/3 of consumers would boycott a company or brand if it deemed it unethical in anyway.
So there you have it—from the CEO to the potential new employees of the company, right through to the consumers it targets, CSR is certainly becoming embedded into the structure and mechanics of our commercialised world.
So, how are you ensuring your company is embracing this CSR movement? What about your community investments/projects or your employee volunteering schemes? Do your customers/consumers know about all this?
If you have no CSR initiatives and would like to focus on youth projects or initiatives, then please contact us.
