UK Schools Youth Business Scheme
(UK) Gordon Brown (Chancellor) has announced the development of a nationwide business scheme for schools across the UK. Introduced over the next two years, the scheme intends to create summer seminars for young people, delivered by local businesses.
Mr Brown dreamt up the plan after hearing Sir Alan, the star of BBC 2's The Apprentice, address a teenage audience in inspirational style.
'He made the idea of running a business sound tremendously exciting,' a source close to Mr Brown said. 'The two weeks a teenager spends learning about enterprise could inspire him or her to pursue a career in business.'
