MP Enters 'Participation Bill'

Oona

(UK) MP Oona King has put forward a Public Bill to promote youth participation and engagement, with the hope of reducing youth crime.

The Bill has little chance of of becoming law although it does raise the issue of more police and better youth provision on the political agenda.

'It is a scandal that such an important area of service provision is not a statutory duty,' she said. 'It is now time to crack down on antisocial local authorities that do not take young people's need seriously.'

Phatgnat likes MP Oona King!
