Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year
(US) More than 3,800 outstanding teachers are being recognised through Wal-Mart's 10th annual Teacher of the Year programme. Noted for making a positive difference in the lives of young people the schools of winning teachers will each receive $1,000.
Wal-Mart is donating $4.2 million to the programme where each nominated teacher is selected by a neighbourhood store.
