(World) The emergence of myspace.com over the past few years has been an undeniable statement of how young people are creating content on the web. Even though open to all ages (above 14) the social networking site has mailny been propagated by the under 30 demographic.
The news that myspace.com has formed a record label and also released a record (MySpace Record Volume One) is not surprising—bearing in mind they have an estimated half a million artists and bands promoting themselves through the network there's a lot to choose from.
They have already 'signed' one band, the Hollywood Undead, and it's obvious more will follow—I also predict the myspace.com tour is not far behind, and there is definitely a Phatgnat Fortnightly Challenge there in terms of holding some workshops facilitating young people's profile building etc.
