3.6 Million Pounds of Plastic

whycharity

I just noticed this on the cover of Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt:

"What would you do with 3.6 Million Pounds of Plastic? Beginning this fall, Dannon will remove its plastic overcaps..because we think there are better uses for all that plastic!

Dannon is making a major contribution to Toys for Tots, enabling them to give lots of plastic toys to kids this holiday season. For more details or to make a personal donation, visit www.dannon.com/toys."

Interesting, isn't it? I always wondered why did they have an additional plastic overcap. This is a one-time contribution to Toys for Tots, however they have more activites and community development programs for children that are on a regular basis.
