(World) Reel Grrls is an annual programme where 70 girls are invited to explore media literacy and empowerment. Based in Seattle, the organisation has many partners and is also supported by TimeWarner.

Another similar programme is the IntoMedia 30 Second Film Competition on behalf of The Community Communication Network (CCN), in association with Channle 4's Ideasfactory.
This competition is also sponsored by BT.
