Homelessness Charity Gets Royal Patron
(UK) Young people's homelessness charity Centrepoint today announced their new patron—Prince William, a position his mother, Princess Diana, held years before. The Prince said:
'Charities like Centrepoint do such an amazing job in helping to combat homelessness and social exclusion and I just wanted to lend my support to their remarkable efforts.'
I've known about the great work the charity undertakes after seeing Anthony Lawton, Chief Executive of Centrepoint, years ago at a conference when I first stated working with young people. He is a passionate and inspiring speaker who delivers with aggresive but respect—(much in the same mold as Tom Peters I can imagine?)—hopefully this appointment will give the charity an international profile and assist in the plight of the homeless youth.
