Turn On, Tune In, Get Out!
(UK) Do you know your RSS feeds from your podcasts? Your MSN from your MySpace.com profile? How about understanding why and how young people are populating virtual spaces more and more?
During my many meetings with 'youth professionals' over the past few months, I noted an obvious lack of knowledge and understanding of the emerging and existing technologies out there—technologies that are ubiquitous and which are being used by other professionals and more importantly young people themselves. I decided to put together a training course with a focus on enabling youth professionals (in all sectors but mailny the public) to adopt and utilise these technologies in their day-to-day work and also in their youth projects.
'Turn On, Tune In, Get Out!' is a two day course enabling youth professionals to understand and sample emerging technologies.
