Mobile Jam Fest Part 1
(WORLD) As announced in the recent Bulletin Phatgnat is the UK partner for the Mobile Jam Fest, the world's first mobile festival to celebrate the creative potential of today's youth.
I'll be posting about this right up intil the event in Toronto in November so I thought I'd give you some background:
Last November I had a phonecall from Andrika at CCandCo in Canada asking if I was in London as her business partner Craig was in town next week and would like to meet me. Bearing in mind I had never had any communication with CCandCo before it was a leap of faith but my gut feeilng was positive and I liked their vibe.
A week later I'm discussing youth media and technology developments with Craig in a pub in the 'big smoke'. He then throws the concept of an international youth mobile phone film festival at me. I get very excited. We agree that about the benefits of me joining the party and it's done.
That's how to do business :-)
Lots of emails and several skype chats later and the project is launched.
