Respect - part 2
(UK) Just had a lovely message from Lucie at the youth information website thesite.org. Inspired by one of the recent posts here she was letting me know about the following:
Just today we have launched a survey on our website to gauge young people's thoughts on exactly that - whether the sex, drugs and crime stories used to portray young people in the media are justifiable and accurate, whether they promote the government's 'Respect' agenda, and whether they paint an honest picture of young people today.
It is going to be running on our site for 2 months …
Hopefully we'll see the follow-up report in June/July time as thesite.org are intending to challenge negative stereotypes and language used to describe young people in the media.
