Tech-girls

lolahome

(UK) UK teen magazine BLISS has highlighted a growing trend in techno-savvy, choice-hungry girls calling them 'the most exciting generation ever'. The feature, outlining the benefits of being an iGirl, quotes technology expert, Scott Colvey:

In 2006, whether you want to shop, chat or download music, everything is just a click of a mouse away, and more importantly, you're in control. You can watch what you want, vote for who you want to see and do all this 24-7.

In 2005, Pink World ran a 'are you a techno-girl?' survey on it's 8,000 Pink Ladies across the globe. The result was a resounding 'Yes' and the Pink Ladies voted their most prized possession as their mobile phone.

I love my mobile—whether it's via txting or Bluetooth, I'm able to contact my friends day or night without having to worry about my parents listening in or getting on at me to clear the line.

Over 76% were unable to cope without access to the internet, 68% own an mp3 player and 57% own their own part of cyberspace—website, blog, myspace etc

With a zillion entertainment, information and communication choices at the touch of a button, it's incredibly cool to be a techno-girl. Fact.

Contirbuted by Lisa Clark who you can contact about the findings of the Pink World survey.
