Smash Hits No More
(UK) When I was a kid Smash Hits was THE youth magazine. Wanted to keep up to date with all the goings on in the pop world then you happily spent that 30p and got your fix. The final ever issue goes on sale today.
It's no real surprise with young people today moving away from 'tangible' mediums in favour of the ubiquitious technology-driven-virtual platforms. That's why the Smash Hits brand wil be focusing on it's TV and digital radio channels and it's website. A model for other youth mags?
R.I.P. Smash Hits!
