If You Need Reasons…
(WORLD) Apart from that warm fuzzy feeling that comes from doing good the boys and girls over at the Business Ethics blog has posted 'Getting Down to Business on Corporate Social Responsibility'—outlining the profit-focussed-reasons why businesses should get onboard the CSR train.
Good community support also results in high employee morale, increasing their commitment and loyalty to the company, their motivation and their productivity - assuming, of course, that the socially responsible company has exceptional human resource management and observes fair labor practices. Such a company will most likely attract and retain the best talents, and is expected to further develop their potentials and skills. It goes without saying that all this will redound to higher profitability over-all and for the long-term.
Good stuff!
