World Cup Youth
(UK) As World Cup fever hits the nation (and world), here's a nice little project—internet hosting company Active24 are sponsoring a five-a-side tournament aimed at some of London's most disadvantaged young people.
Delivered by social enterprise YouthWorks, although, very confused by this quite from Patrick McCarthy, Commercial Director of Active 24:
Our aim is to bring awareness about the possibilities offered by the Internet and open people's mind about the creation of websites and topical issues such as virus, emails etc. I am really excited about this football challenge and I hope the young people taking part really enjoy the tournament.
Anyway, the company is also donating 20% of their sales during the period of the World Cup to the Vassall Ward Youth & Community Project, a Lambeth based charity. What good eggs!
